Sheffield Supertram

Sheffield tram route map

The Sheffield Supertram (or Stagecoach Supertram) is a light rail tram network, covering Sheffield and Rotherham. Infrastructure is owned by the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE), with operator Stagecoach responsible for the operation and maintenance of rolling stock.

Starting in 2008, interest had been expressed in the launch of hybrid tram-train operations, enabling services to traverse sections of the main line rail network in addition to tramways.  On 25 October 2018, Supertram commenced operations of the new tram-train line from Cathedral to Rotherham Parkgate.
