125 mile/h  'Pendolino' 25kVAC tilting EMU

The units employ Fiat's tilting train technology and were built by Alstom at Washwood Heath Birmingham. Fifty-three 9-car units were originally built for Virgin Trains from 2001 to 2004 for operation on the WCML, with four new 11-car trains and 62 new cars to extend existing 9-car sets were built in Italy between 2009-2012
