with Ruston Paxman 12RK3ACT engine giving 3,300HP 50 locos were originally built by BREL at Doncaster between 1983 and 1987 EWS withdrew them in 2002 after 20 years in service and 30 were subsequently hired abroad – four to the Netherlands, eight to Spain and twenty to France. |
